Boat Buddy

Has anyone used a Boat Buddy latch ? The reviews are mixed.

Never seen one, but looked it up. Yeah the reviews don't look to good. As they said, if lined up perfectly, it works, anything else nope! I know I use different ramps, and while it may work at one, it might not at another, with a different angle......I'd keep my money for fuel.

I bought a Boat Buddy 2 a few years ago for my 20` proline CC. Works for me fine after adjusting the winch stand a few times.

I think power loading would be taken to the extreme with a boat buddy and could see needing a new prop if powering the boat clear up until it latches on. That last couple feet I usually winch up as it's the danger zone for the prop even trying to keep the tilt going up and you really have to get on it.

I have not used one but also would be concerned about power loading, especially on shallow ramps.
