After utilizing all of the great information in these forums, I decided to support the I-Boats store by purchasing a semi custom made OutduraR cover for my boat. Probably should have asked this question BEFORE the purchase but - I am going to be happy when it is delivered? Negative responses need not apply!!! Thanks again for all the great information guys.

I bought one of the custom-fit Sunbrella covers from them at the beginning of this year. Fits perfectly, extremely well made. Best thing I ever bought for my boat. Wish I had bought it when I bought the boat.

Man, you don't leave a guy many choices do you?
Agree with me or go away.:p

Joking with ya.:D

You should be absolutly fine with your cover. I think that "semi custom" is a generic term. The cover should be made for that specific hull design and no others. The only thing that would need to be "custom" would be if you had anything added to the boat that the cover would not match up to. JMO.

And kudos for supporting the iboats store. I just told a guy this morning about it when he asked where he might find some new stuff for his boat.

Re: Boat Cover Purchase

Well, we just had our first good rain here in So Cal since I bought the new cover from IBoats in October. I am VERY pleased with the cover and it worked very well - kept the interior of the boat bone dry. FWIW, the customer service was great, it arrived earlier than scheduled and now I can add - I got my money's worth! Of course, right before the rain came, I bought a "tarp" from Home Depot to help protect my new cover, covering my new boat! Still explaining to the admiral why we needed the tarp.....

Another very satisfied IBoats customer!

I totally understand you there. I used to keep my boat (in season) at my uncle's cabin. It's very wooded there so everything would get pretty nasty. I bought cheapie Wal-Mart covers so I wouldn't care if they got ruined. Last year I bought a nicer cover on blowout from iboats. The boat spent only like 2 weeks at my uncle's this past season and the cover still got filthy. I was pissed.

I bought a bimini top through the store. It was made in Mexico whether that matters or not. Anyhew...upon receiving it one of the tubular aluminum braces was smashed flat and it was obvious that it happened at the factory....shipping carton and everything else was intact.

I contacted the folks here and told them that one of 3 pieces that make up a bow had been smashed. Within a couple of days, UPS was at the house with a new complete bow (3 pieces) no questions asked.

Can't beat that.

If you aren't happy with your purchase, no doubt in my mind they will make it right.......even if you screwed up the dimensions/boat that it was supposed to fit. Ha!

Re: Boat Cover Purchase

I just got a sharkskin full cover for winter. Came with tie downs that connect to trailer, the cover is trailerable and I spent extra for a 'vented' support pole.

I am happy. Well made. My boat is well protected and I didn't need any elaborate support framing.
