boat cover vent / support

I just bought a new cover and also some vents that also hold a support pole for the cover. The problem is i received no instructions on how install the vents. They are called boat vent 2 made by Taylor Made products. I know i will have to cut a hole in the cover, just dont want to before i find out some info. They are round vents and on the bottom side you insert a support pole.

same thing happened to me. i emailed them thru their site and they emailed me some directions. i haven't installed it yet though.

basically...cut a 2 1/4" circle in the cover. the vent screws apart, line the bottom piece up with the hole and screw the top piece to the bottom. then screw the bottom piece and pole to the vent.

My cover have the same. As Salty said, but ensure the hole you cut is just large enough to fit the outer piece thru. When you screw the inner part on, it sandwiches the cloth material between the two parts. Make sure it's tight when your done. I didn't, it came loose in the breeze and when I went back to the boat after a couple of weeks, I had a nice pool going.
