Re: boat covers

I've got a Custom Westland Sharkskin that's on year 5 with no signs of wear/problems (except for mildew on the inside); I don't use it for towing.

I agree, Westland is definitely good. On this page (on iboats) you can pick your boat and they let you know which cover they have for it. Most everything I see in there is Westland:
http://www.iboats.com/mall/coverfinder/

Just curious Nick, do you take your cover off when towing? What if it is raining when towing?

A trailerable cover will withstand the wind and weather at speeds usually way beyond moored or parked and won't come off!

I have the custom cover. PERFECT!!! If you get sharkskin be advised that it does not breathe. You will more than likely get mildew if you do not have some manner of getting the condensation out from under the cover.

I have white interior (great with little kids) and I did not want mildew. Spent the extra bucks and got the pole vents...allows the cover to breathe. No mildew.

I bought a cover from cabelas last year. It was the one with a 7year warr.,i think it cost about $300.To me it seems like a pretty decent cover.
