I have a 1972 Glastron V 166 bowrider with a Mercury 1150 outboard. Who makes the best boat covers? I previously had a Riptide cover with a sewn in motor cover, trailerable...it was a great cover, but it looks like they don't make covers anymore. I want a 600 denier cover, UV protection etc. Thanks

Re: boat covers

Check here at iboats they seem to have a cover for most boats old and new. The only place I found that has one for mine 1986.

Re: boat covers

I got mine at Bass Pro Shops. It was a bit pricey and one of the top end ones, but I live in Southern California and the sun beats things up pretty bad. It's about a year old and still in pretty good condition. I also keep it on while I tow the boat so my cushions and other crap don't fly out on the freeway.

Re: boat covers

I hear ya df909...thats funny...i looked here on iboats and really didn't see anything i liked. I have seen a few i liked on some other websites, but want to do a little more research before buying. My Riptide cover had the sewn in motor cover, with the motor down and the cover pulled tight, it made a great tent like fit from the windshield to the top of the motor, that really helps rain run-off, plus is made it very easy to take a broom a pull the snow off of it. Wish i could find another like that !! I'll keep looking...i did look at bass pro, might have to go back there an look again..
