I was curious if anybody out there knew where the best deal on boat covers are. I currently store my boat indoors without a cover. However, I have plans for a long weekend trip with the boat and am looking for a decent inexpensive ($100 or less) boat cover to protect it while outdoors. I don't plan on towing with the cover on and the boat will be on the trailer when not in use. My main question is with sizing. Most of the covers I've seen in this price range are sized to fit 14-16ft boats with the next size up being 17-19ft. At 16 1/2 foot, my boat seems to be in a grey area. Does anybody know of a cover that boat my length falls within? Will the 17-19 fit okay?

Re: boat covers

I have used the cheapo silver boat covers from Walmart on my previous boat. They are very thin. After sitting outside for any length of time, they will tear just by looking at them funny.

If your boat is stored indoors, you would probably be ok.

We bought a larger boat, and I bought a really nice semi-custom boat cover right here on i-boats store. It was not very expensive, and is very thick heavy duty material. After a couple of seasons, it has already paid for itself.
