I'm about to buy a 2017 sea fox 206 commander. I have quite a few options and upgrades. The dealer's price for me after all upgrades (including a few free and extras) was $47,200. I got to agree to $45k. Sound reasonable?

Main thing for upgrades was a 9" GPS, down imaging, side imaging, echo, chirp Garmin unit.

If you think your are being taken advantage of I would check around and see what the price of that exact boat goes for and pick a few comparable boats. When I bought my boat I could check with other dealers not in my area for what they sold my setup for...

Motor is a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke outboard. I'm don't think I'm getting "taken advantage of" but it seems like such a large price and I have never shopped for new boats before. I tried looking for other new boats but they don't list the prices for a new sea fox anywhere so I don't even have a reference. Just the basic pricing sheet they fill out when they build it and select the options.

... and if you do pull the trigger stop price checking as soon as you buy, you will most likely find one cheaper with more and better everything. The longer you wait the cheaper it will get but keep in mind summer is on us, boating season is now. If your going to buy you have to jump in sooner or later, LOL. IMHO, pick the boat you want and figure a price you will pay.

Are you buying a boat to save money? If the answer is no and that you want to have family rememberances, jump fast before somebody else gets it. A 5% discount in prime boating season ain't too bad in my neck of the woods.

Come in with 10 crisp $100 bills and say you'l bite with another thousnd off the price. That usually works for me.
