I have a 24v trolling motor and a 150hp gas motor. The two trolling batteries are brand new and the starter battery is 2 yrs old. It appears that all my electronics are wired to my 2 trolling motors. Is this a correct way to do it? Should they be wired this way. The reason I ask is when the trolling batteries are fully charged everything works fine. If I use the trolling motor for about an hour then all my electronics go dead. No lights, no bilge, and not live well. I am not good with electronics. Any ideas where to start?:(

You cannot possibly have all accessories wired across the 24 volt system or they would be toast. They are wired to just ONE of the two batteries in the 24 volt system. And no -- I do not feel it wise or necessary to wire ALL accessories to the trolling system. Most accessories draw so little current that leaving them on the starting battery is not an issue provided the starting battery is a good quality, high capacity battery to start with. If you are not good with electronics or electrical systems, you should have someone who is sort this out.
