Boat engine cuts out with VHF PTT button pressed

Anyone ever seen or know why the VHF PTT button pressed would cause an '07 Etec 115 outboard motor to cut out?

Only one of two things come to mind: 1) RF interference with the engine ECU or 2) weak battery. Keying the radio draws the battery voltage below the threshold the ECU in the motor needs to make the engine run.
