boat fenders

boy I can not believe the price of boat fenders, I need to pickup 4 of them for my berth, and it is almost $200, now I know why I always see tires on tug boats ha ha, anybody know a cheap place to get fenders???

I guess it depends on the size and style you are looking for.

Fenders like any other product, You Get What You Pay For. When I first got my 27', I bought new fenders. They didn't last a week. I found two from a yard sale, found one floating, and a friend had an odd ball one that matched the other ones. I've been using them for 5 years now. They ain't pretty, but they do the job.

Spending 200 to 300 is a lot better than having to repair scratches on your boat or somebodys boat.

I trailer an aluminum boat, so I don't have much need for fenders. But what I have, I've found floating or washed up. Usually when I pull in among glass boats, they put the fenders out.
