I saw one a Lake Oconee, GA about 7 years ago. They had just gased up and evidently some fuel was spilled and they didn't run the blower prior to start up. The fumes ingnited by a spark in the electrical system and Kaboom. Their were teenagers on the boat and no adults. The kids hit the water and the boat luckly floated away from the dock. It burned for about 30 minutes before it floated over near a road where a local fire dept waited and were able to get a hose on it and put it out. With all the water the volunteer fireman put on it the boat swamped and Game warden towed it to the marina. I saw the boat about 4 years later at a boating safty demonstration. Evidently the insurance company donated it and the DNR got some good use out of it.
