Welcome to the Dry Dock.

I couldn't tell you the year, but I would think you could contact the locat DNR in Indiana and give them the registration number from the side, they should be able to give you the information on file for that number.

Nice looking Tri-Hull though...good luck with it.

I found out that it is a 1972, but I still have no more information about that Fantasy Brand and never saw anything online and no research of the company comes back with anything

Re: Boat Id Please Help me

There were tons of boat builders back in the 60s-70s and early 80s. Lots of small operations that acquired molds and went to town building fiberglass boats. Especially the tri-hulls. Odds are nobody took them over just bought the molds. I know in the part of Florida that I live alone I can think of 6-8 builders that are no longer.

His says Costa Mesa, Califnornia though. Could it have been Fantasy Sea Marine?

Could Check that out Fantasy Sea Marine, i will look, as usual, Very Helpful thanks Very much....I did get to take the Boat out for a bit, But then Oil cooler Pump was leaking water so i took Her in As usual some Jack @$$ helped me with a huge wave that made the prop bottom out and when the outboard hit the gravel, it managed to seperate the top rivet line to the rear Plate

Re: Boat Id Please Help me

I have the exact same boat. Just bought it for my first boat. I havent been able to find info on company either. I found this thread while looking. The guy I got it from said they were made in San Diego but that hasnt panned out either. I haven't had any problems getting parts or anything though so guess it doesn't really matter that much at this point. Local boat shops have been able to come up with everything I have needed so far. Boat looks great. Sorry to here about the prop incodent. I'm having trouble finding a prop reconditioned that will fit the 270 outdrive. I have found new ones in a 14"x13pitch or 14"x15pitch but they are like $280.00 compared to $125.00 for reconditioned. My boat came over propped with a 14.8"x17pitch and the motor will only spin it to 2900rpm. Can you please post what diam. and pitch your current prop is? Would be helpfull to me. Oh and approx speed when you took it out. I will keep searching as well for fantasy and will post anything I find.

Re: Boat Id Please Help me

Kamp: Saw your post on the 3V club, and thought I would jump over here to toss a suggestion to you as you're looking into your boat. My Silverline (a '72) looks almost like an identical mold to your hull. There are some variations, but not real significant ones.

The hull that I run is a 1972 Comoro 18T. I don't know how the hulls might be related, but look how close they are: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=346413&page=23&p=3414251 I'm about halfway down the page on page 23. Even the glove boxes, and split console mold is almost dead on.

There's quite a bit on the Silverline boats, but I haven't ever read that they sold the molds to Fantasy.

Nice looking boat, I love the style.
