I'm looking to build a console for my new boat. does anyone know of where i can go to get used remote steering parts for the console. Steering parts, and cables for the throttle, shifter. Do most marinas have "junkyards"? thanks!

Yep, but usually the cost 1/2 the price of new. So it might be worth just getting all new at that point. But it never hurts to ask, you just might get a deal.

If you find Steering Parts,+ Cables in a Junk Boat,.......
Those parts are Probably Junk Too.......

That kind of Stuff,.. Just Goes Bad from sitting,...
And they Ain't Servicable parts,.... Oil it All you want,+ They're Still Junk.......

A New Helm,+ Cable are about the Most Inexpensive things on a boat to Replace,...... Buy New.....

Here in St Pete there are a couple of marine salvage yards that actually do a good job of removing parts and cataloguing them. I just bought a set of throttle, shift, and steering cables for a 16' boat I sold. All of the cables were in great shape, and all 4 cables cost me less than $50.00

e-bay, e-bay -e-bay. Did I mention e-bay? Keep checking back frequently and you WILL find what you are looking for. Do your research and know what you are looking for and how much it is REALLY worth or what you are willing to pay . :D
