Hello,
So I have a '94 Four Winns Horizon 180, with an OMC 5.0 Cobra. I just had a new starter put in, a rebuilt carb, and a new fuel filter. Just took it out today, and it just putts for a few minutes, then I barely put the throttle down, and I can cruise about 5 mph. Then I try gradually giving it gas, and the damn thing dies. If I lift the engine cover up on the back of the boat, pull the fire guard off, and start it, I can cruise at a comfy 20 mph, no stalling, nothing...
What the hell is going on?? Air not getting in? Not enough fuel getting through??
So frustrated, had some friends out with me, and it took us 2 hours to get it back to the dock (starting, stopping, waiting, repeat). Luckily I didn't need a tow.
Any ideas?
