I am looking to replace the original Boat Leveler hydraulic cylinders since they appear to be from 1976 and have been leaking. The cylinders are 6 inches long at the cylinder body and about 1 3/4 inches in diameter. I have attached a picture. Wondering if anybody can recommend replacement cylinders that would bolt right up to the original holes and trim plates. There weren't any part numbers on these.

Thanks....

Those look like Bennett Trim Tab cylinders . . . Is that what you are talking about? It might be hard to find one with an exact fastener pattern match.

Thanks. They do say Boat Leveler on them and on the trim tab pump... I wonder if Bennett makes a replacement for them... I could modify to use a different pattern I guess but I wonder if the mounting plates can be pulled from these and moved to new cylinders.

Haven't had a chance to do much checking on the internet. Was hoping this was a common replacement part on older boats and that someone might have a cross reference to a newer part. Thanks..

Well spent a lot of time searching and it appears that Insta-trim has direct replacements so I ordered a pair of those. They should arrive next week so will check to see if they fit in place of the others. The ones I ordered don't have mounting brackets so I will need to reuse the old ones (they look good). More after I get the new ones and compare.

The new Insta-trim cylinders arrived and appear to be exact replacements for the old boat leveler ones, same physical size.
