Boat Leveler trim

Would it be ok (smart) to try and replace the hydraulic hoses for my trim tabs while the boat is in the water. I dont have a trailer and even if I did, I am in north texas and our/my lake is SO LOW!

boat is a 1998 crownline 268cr with a "Boat Leveler Co" system. Thanks in advance for the advice.

If you remove the pins holding the cylinders and lift them out of the water, it should be doable. I don't see a way to replace the hoses under water without making a big oily mess. Is the Crown on a lift?
