boat lift pricing

Could anyone help me determine a good price on a used lift. There is one for sale here in Charlotte that would work. IT is a 1998 model, recenly painted. A local lift dealer has the lift and says its in good condition (not being sold by the dealer but by an individual). Its a 4000lb Galva. What should I expect to pay for this used lift?<br /><br />Thanks!

Well, I just paid $2500 for an all-aluminum and stainless 10K lift. So, a 7-year old galv. 4K would be worth less than a grand, maybe 600?

Thanks..this guy ain't budging from $2000. Maybe I should wait around a bit and then call him. The local lift guy said its worth around 15-2000 but it still seems hight. Thanks!
