I recently bought: This

It has the 220hp v8 in it. I am not planning on being a professional wakeboarder, but what could I do to it that would be relatively cheap and give me a better wake?

hey cody.......welcome to i boats...

love the new ray.....i just missed two of them earlyer this spring.

you can add a water ballast bag....ot a lot of guys are puting weights...(yes..gym type yorx or steel plate weights) on the tower......they hang them off the board racks.

but i like the bladders better.

Have you had a chance to try it to see what the wake is like? If you're looking for a bigger wake then you'll want to push the boat down and that can either be with some sort of ballast system (bags, lead, bags of cement, etc) or you invite 7 -8 200 pound friends along and you should see an improvement with them.

Do you know what sort of prop you have? With the extra weight you may need to change that and if you look at the sticky posts in the propellors forum you can get an idea of what you need to start to measure (WOT RPMs, GPS speed, etc) to know what impact a prop change will have.
