i have a 135 hp v4 its model no is 135583e serial no is a109609 i do not have spark would anyone no posable cause.i dont seem to have any power coming from altenater it has 2 brown wires that feed the black box i tested them with a test light and there dead. could anyone tell me what voltage the 2 brown wires are <br /><br />thanks for any help<br />thanks to everyone that replyed to my question.<br />it was the sattor

Falcoon.... The stator/charge coil assy emits approximately 300v AC to the powerpack at a cranking speed of 300 rpm or more.<br /><br />The ohm meter readings between the two wires should be 630 ohms plus or minus 75 ohms.<br /><br />Suggestion.... make the spark test with the spark plugs removed. If no spark, disconnect the black/yellow wire at the powerpack and recheck the spark. If you now have spark, you have either a short in the wiring harness or a faulty ignition switch. To check the switch, reconnect the black/yellow wire at the pack, then remove it from the back of the ign switch, then recheck the spark.
