No one was reported injured when the driver of this 28-foot Sea Ray boat docked it on the rocks at Lake Tenkiller dam at about 3 a.m. Sunday. Rick Scott, another boater who was passing by, photographed the attempted removal of the boat from the dam Tuesday, but reported the boat was still on the rocks Tuesday evening. Firehawk Boats of the Tenkiller area was trying to remove the boat from the dam, Scott said. Photo Courtesy of Rick Scott

i wonder what his excuse was ............... this is a very large lake and right here where he is you can see the guard rail for the highway that runs across the dam. people are known to drag race cars and boats along this stretch.

anyone care to make any guesses??

im gonna watch and see if it unfolds any more......

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that at 3am, alcohol and subsequent jacking-around MAY have had something to do with this. But then again.... accidents do happen. Going too fast for visibility and some disorientation may have led to it.... either way, it's gonna need some polishing to get that out!

It's a bona fide miracle that no-one was killed getting that boat that high.
Did he jump a wake? Was he riding around looking at the stars? Geez, NOT PRETTY...............NOT PRETTY AT ALL:eek::eek:

Wow, hard to believe they never did a face plant on those rocks. Wonder if a little duct tape and a new prop will get him going again??

he's lucky he somehow hit at an angle to deflect the energy up the slope.

Wow, very lucky nobody was killed!

I cringe at the thought of all the damage to the gel-coat, and I think I would be shuddering if I was there as they slid it off the rocks with each scratch that got put into the gel too.

Something about gel coat and rocks, always make me cringe!

Re: boat on rocks

we have 2 bodies of water at differnt levels with a rock 'breeze way' and I heard new people to the area will ram the rocks like that pic. Beer is the most likely cause.

Re: boat on rocks

as far as i knew it the speed limit for night time on this lake is 35......... but im gonna have to check and see since it was just hearsay.

its a good thing its set up like it is.... the other side of the highway drops off over 100'

lake tenkiller is known for good largemouth fishing and crazy boaters............ its one of the main recreational lakes in oklahoma. the water is clear, clean, cool, and deep. not to mention all the bluffs to jump off of, and parks/camping all around it

Re: boat on rocks

Are they sure no one was injured? They may want to check on the other side of the rock pile.

I'm going to guess an attractive woman was involved.
Without one my boats on the trailer by sundown.
