Boat parts

I'm sure you folks have sources for parts that are better than the local marina (which I'll continue to support for service and things I need in a hurry) and places to find obscure parts for boats no longer made.

With your help, I bought a 1984 Blue Fin on Friday, and it needs some parts - most notably the cast corner cap for the left side of the stern.

Any suggestions as to where I could find such a thing?

I'll put up a picture of the right side cap in a little bit.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Boat parts

I doubt seriously if it will be an easy task to find parts for a 24 year old boat.
However all is not completely lost. Maybe start with the manufacturer :http://www.bluefinboats.com/ or do a search on ebay. Either way I think your easiest way would be to replace both pieces with new - if you can find something close that will fit.

Re: Boat parts

That's one of the thoughts I had - go new on both sides so they match.

The odds of me finding another are pretty low, but you never know - the Internet is amazing sometimes, you can reach a lot more people a lot faster than when I was looking for English sports car parts in the '80s
