Boat plug problem..

I have a 16ft McKee Craft tri hull..That being said in the bow there are to dry storages with drains running out the bottom of the boat,Th drain runs about 6 inches though the hull..Today when i removed one of the plugs the metel sleeve came out and is all messed up,and now i can seee the foam and if i just put the plug in, The water is going to go up in there and get in the hull,Right? what do i do...

Your description of where this plug is is not clear - to me at least. Can you post some pictures?

Can you put the metal sleve back in with some 3M 5200 to seal it and secure it?

Also may want to post in the restoration and repair section.

Thanks that helped alot....Here are the pics,you can see the hole goes thought the hull about 6in, The plug is still stuck in the sleeve.I would just reinstall the same sleeve but its all broke and stuff,,,,,

Looks to me, with the sleeve in that condition, no sealer etc, that the outside water was able to get up into the hull/foam area.

You may want to investigate further, to see if there is any water damage in the hull.

Is there enuff room to dig a little foam out to see how wet it is? then maybe dry it out with a hair dryer and replace the sleeve.seal it good with 3m...

When i removed the sleeve two days ago it was real wet.But i felt up in there today and it seemed dry Will it dry out or dose the water just stay there for ever:/
