I have a new boat with an internal plug that is a pain in the you know what to get to to put in and pull out...how can I convert this over to external plug? It is a 2008 SC 1860 Triton Aluminum Boat.

Thanks

Re: Boat Plug

Is it an expanding rubber plug?? If so, nothing to do except just put it in from the outside. I have been putting rubber expanding plugs in from the ouutside for 30 years and never had a problem. Just make sure you get it tight.

Re: Boat Plug

Just what 109 said. Put thr plug in from the outside of the transom. What made you think it was an inside plug?

Re: Boat Plug

It does not fit on the outside only from the inside...maybe if you can post a picture that would help me out a lot...It is an aluminum boat...hole is way to small on outside to go with plug outside...Running out to check again one more time...

I recommend removing the WD40. You don't want the plug slipping out!
