In case you missed the other thread... 3M "Super Duty Rubbing Compound", part # 051131-05954. Apply liberally, buff with electric auto wax buffer (change buffing pad when clogged up, they are washable), wipe excess off with terry towel and you'll have a great shine. Put on wax or UV protection immediately to preserve the shine. You can get the rubbing compound at any paint supplier that sells professional auto paint and supplies. Bob's Paintland in Vancouver, WA is my source and expert on paint and supplies for any application.

I used attwoods cleaner wax then followed with there marine wax. It worked amazing took all the oxidation out and made it shine like a mirror. I have tried alot of products. So far my top 2 are the attwood and 2nd choice would be meguires. I have a red hull so you can see all imperfections. But the attwood worked extremely well

Re: boat polish and waxes

A buddy of mine got me hooked on 3M Onestep. Compound and wax all in one. Worked great! I used to use either Meguires Color Restore or 3M Finesse-It followed by carnuba - usually Fleetwax - but anything to save a step! It goes on and off easily with a rotary polisher. I used to use the orbital buffer (Total POS and waste of time) but then watched the pros do it with a high speed polisher. Just be careful or you'll burn through the gelcoat...

I second the 3M Finesse-It.

Here is a before and after.

Its not as aggressive as anything that has "compound" in the description.

Oh, BTW. The "before" was taken when it was still in the field it was sitting in when I bought it.
