I'm looking at upgrading from my 2007 Bayliner 175. Something a little bigger and nicer (primarily something with a tad more room). I've got 2 available in my area that I'm torn between, any insight on the quality/durability of each would be much appreciated...
2001 Glastron 195 with 4.3L V6 Volvo 190HP

2003 SeaRay 182 with 3.0L 4cyl Merc 135HP

The glastron has some nicer interior features (bucket seats and bench, snap-in carpet), but the SeaRay has a bimini and SS prop, as well as a snap-on cover (we are looking to put the new boat in a slip, so the snap-on cover would be helpful). The newer searay is $500 cheaper.

I'm leaning towards the Glastron for the engine and seat configuration mainly, thoughts? Just a little unnerving to go with a boat 6 years older than my current and a couple thousand more than what my Bayliner will sell for (though I expect it will continue to hold value better than the Bayliner).

Thanks!

Assuming both boats are in good condition, I think you're more comfortable with the Glastron - And I'd probably lean that way too.

The accessories that come with the Ray are nice, but they are things you can buy for the Glassy. You can't easily add a foot, seat configuration or two cylinders to the Sea Ray.

Both boats are probably good in their own right, but I personally wouldn't let the accessories hold me from getting the boat I was more comfortable buyin'.
