I am considering buying a 14ft jon boat w/trlr (alumacraft) with a 1978 25hp johnson ob. The guy wants $1300. The motor has a shift problem, although and won't shift into forward and accelerate. The prop will go around but wont fully engage. I think it is a linkage problem but am not sure. I am wondering what to offer the guy for the boat and trailer. I know that the motor is worth about $1.50, but what is the boat and trailer worth. Also how much do you think the motor is worth?

ive got a lone star runabout with trl for$300 also have 28hp evinrude runs but needs looked at.<br />im in northern ar.
