I'm getting ready to buy a 1989 363V Ranger with a 2004 Merc 150 EFI. I have never had a bass boat. The body is in ok condition, no major dings or scuffs or scars. New 67# MinnKota TM. I can't seem to find a decent price range on NADA. The asking price is 9500.00 and I want to make sure I'm not getting taken to the cleaners. The engine has less than 20 hrs on it and it runs great. But the boat itself is almost 20 yrs old. What do I need to look for on the boat before I purchase it? Will the transom hold this nerwer, bigger engine? Is there a website I can go to that can give me a bluebook estimate/or similar so that I can have some bargaining power? Thanks. erpa

Re: boat purchase

If the boat is in good shape, about 2700 for it and trailer.
6000 for the 2004 150 EFI engine.

Re: boat purchase

your paying to much. that would be top dollar to pay that amount. the motor attached to the boat definatly a good motor.but usally sells cheaper when attached to the boat. if you were to buy the motor alone..you would pay about 6000 for it. look on the net. you can find used bass boats with nice motors for 4000 even better then that. i have a 335v 1984 / 115hp johnson 1985 excellent condition 2500 dollars. you can do better then 9000 im sure
