A year ago I took on the challenge of restoring a 1985 17 1/2 foot center console "Invader" boat. The boat was a junk yard find but had the lines and design that I was looking for in river/lake boat with an eye toward use in the Puget Sound as well. The boat was in decent shape from a structural standpoint but needed an update in all areas. The project included re-glassing the floor and a new aircraft quality electrical system. I wont share all of the details but can assure you that many hours were invested. I have done all the work myself. I am having the cushions made and will be installing a Fishmaster T-top. Here are the after pictures. The before pictures are posted in the same thread.901864_512177538840601_2047605478_o.jpg901936_512177625507259_1379755338_o.jpg902487_512177535507268_520896314_o.jpg903144_512177688840586_908883876_o.jpg922152_512177588840596_721045659_o.jpg

Re: Boat Restoration Project. Invader Center Console Part 2

Summer has finally come to the Pacific Northwest and I have had a chance to get the boat out for a test and tune. A minor adjustment to the auto-tabs and she planes out nice and smooth. Ran her up to 45mph with some throttle left. She handles well. Have fished her several times in fresh water and put several hours in salt water. I am very happy with the overall results of this rebuild. Time to move on to the next project.
