boat roof cover - any plans and build your own?

I am planning to make up a hinging frame and cover in the style of a folding boat roof.
Does anyone know of some simple designs online anywhere?
I have noticed that a lot of boat roofs have a main pole leaning back with a long one spurring off it forward above the windscreen and a smaller one coming back off that.

Any ideas welcome

Its easy to do....

1) Potoshop a picture of your boat with the roof you design.

2) Carve the structures out of Styrofoam.

3) Paint with latex paint and then coat with polyester and glass.

4) Fair it all out.

5) Gel Coat.

6) Your Done!

Hey, before you know it, one or two years go by and you have a roof!

I think a bimini top is on the short list of things you don't want to build your self, there is alot of complex things to sort out like all the supports should be the same length when folded but end up in the right place when open.

I think you would be better off buying one, alot less frustration and maybe even cheaper.
