My center console powered by a 175 VRO has been slowing down over the last week. Rough getting on the plane, lousy handling, pounding, slooow, lost 400 rpm's. I started to get some growth so I anchored it up in some shallow water, scrubbed the bottom and lower unit spotless, took it out. Worse than ever. Check for dead cylinders-hitting on them all. Opened up a Beckson port and it looked like the Atlantic in there. Must have been 200 gallons of water in the bilge. The pump died. Overlooked the obvious. Funny thing is with all that water it wasn't really obvious just looking at the boat at the slip.
