Boat Serial Number same as Identification Number on Title?

Hello All,

My insurance company needs the serial number of my boat and trailer to start my coverage.

I found the trailer serial number engraved up by the tongue.

The boat, I searched all over the Transom exterior and interior and cannot find it?

It is a 2000 20' Open Bow so I am assuming it is on the boat somewhere...

But my New York State title does have an Identification Number on it and I also have a registration number.

Is the ID number on the title the serial number?

Normally the HIN is the one on the Registration. If you can't find the HIN on the transom then look under the helm, there should be a plate there also.

Sorry number on the title is EFJ00393A000 which I think is the same as a serial number?

sounds about right, but double check the transom............. starboard side outside and inside , it should be there by law..............
