2003 Glastron GX185 with 190 hp Volvo and Volvo outdrive. We haven't used the boat much in the past two years, maybe twice or three times per summer. This last trip, we had another couple with us, when we are usually just the two of us and the dog, not sure if this is important info or not.

While maneuvering into a boat slip for lunch, I turned hard left and the entire boat shuddered for a couple of seconds until I straightened it out. Ran great all day at various speeds and while turning, but just this one time, and then once more as we were getting ready to drop everyone off and trailer the boat.

Prop has never hit anything and is straight and pretty much brand new, so I am sure that is not the issue.

One other thing that "might" be an issue, both times this happened, we were in shallow and weedy areas, but I see no evidence of weeds collecting on the prop, of course by the time I stopped, it may have chucked them off.

Anything else I should look at?

when was the last time you had the drive off for the annual inspection of the gimbal bearing, u-joints and bellows?

if your bellows have been compromised, then your u-joints are probably rusty and binding.

Yes, had the dog with us!

It has been two seasons since I pulled the drive, bellows look good. Only used the boat twice each season.

Drive was up a bit, but only up about 20%.
