I see that in the realitively near future, I will need to store my 21' footer somewhere other than my driveway at the house.. I thought about dry/rack storage and it's still a possibility if I can get a spot, but I was wondering what some you all may be paying for storage at these "U store it" type places?...

I am sorry snapperbait, I am guilty of trying to agitate a discussion here, on the ever increasing zoning away of our freedom by local dogooders/officials under the name of whats best for all, at the sacrifice of personal freedom, I'm shot down. :D :D

By the way snapperbait, if it is a fishing boat, you may try to make th aquaintance of a friend that lives in the country, whereas for a good safe place to park your craft, you could share a few fishing trips on the water with him/her. :D :D

You can park the whole rig in my barn, $120 a year, and one day on the water. Transport costs are on you though.

Hey snapperbait ol' friend hows it goin? I got no idea what it cost where you are but here it runs around $100 - $200 a month, depending on the level of service you want. I just park my Tiger in the water behind my house.

Like a lot of services, there will be regional price differences as well as differing levels of service from provider to provider.

Another good way to go, is there are a lot of lifetime fishermen, that have either become disabled, or aged to the point that they have had to get rid of their boat and motor, as they are no longer able to launch, and retrieve it (I live on the lake, and my neighbor is an example of this), they would welcome a chance to go out fishing on an occaision, and would probably be more than glad to store your outfit for an occaisional adventure (plus you may be able to learn something fromthese experienced oldtimers). :D :D :D :D

That's kind of a haul for me.. I live right next to Sherlocks in Clearlake and the boat barn is off of Hiway 3 and el durado. so it's 5 minutes away.. I also fish out of eagles point so it's a straight shot down hiway 3 to 646. If they pizz me off i know where i'm gonna look though.. Thanks, Hop

Lakeman, Snapper IS one of those old fogies..seriously, here in GA, there are a lot of defunct chicken houses and a lot of farmers who will rent a spot in the chicken house for about a buck a day....... not too bad I guess.........good luck
