Boat Surveyor in Dallas TX?

Anyone know how to find a boat Surveyor in Dallas TX? I did not really want to ask the dealer, I guess I could ask another dealer.
Am I naive to think the boat "should" be good if :
1. The compression on each cylinder is good
2. The hull is good
3. Lake test is good.
4. It comes with a 60 warranty to sort out any bugs (bumper to bumper, err bow to stern)

Since I have never owned a boat how will I know if everything is good on the lake test?
I know the expression -- "A boat is just a hole in the water you throw money into" I know things happen and some will be unavoidable, I just don't want a lemon.
If anyone on here is from the DFW Metroplex, wanna go for a ride Friday night?
This is really the best boat I have found for the $$, I don't want to drag my feet but I don't want a lemon.

Thanks!!
-Chris
