I've searched and can't find the answer on which way to turn the anode to make my boat trach better at speed. I have a 1973 Mercury 1150 on a 1962 19' Sabercraft. Today was my first successful run. At WOT the boat was going about 30mph, I had to hold the wheel 45* to starboard to keep it from a hard port turn. I think most of that can be fixed by adjusting the anode but I just don't know which way to turn it.

Thanks in advance.

Looking at the anode, if the rear is toward port, that's your problem. If it is straight back or slightly to starboard, something else is wrong.. Usually Mercs are slightly to starboard.

right-handed props always pull to starboard, even in Oz. Your anode should be set straight, and then adjusted to make her track best. The pulling will depend on trim of the motor and speed.
