Boat Turning Radius

My team and me are building a solar powered catamaran and would like to know how to calculate the turning radius depending on the hull dimensions.<br /><br />Can someone please help me out on this one.<br /><br />You can get techincal though, i am a 4th your Mechanical Engineering Student and this project is part of my Senior Design.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Email me on foleni@gmail.com

I'm a 50th year "Seat of the Pants" Engineer,......<br /><br />I believe that the Amount of Available Thrust,+ Where in relation to the Hull this Thrust is Located,........<br />Means More than the Dimensions of the Hull,.??........

Bondo, plus the depth of the "keel" or "V" which determines the amout of slide or slip over the surface of the water.

You guys are way out of my league. I turn the steering wheel on the skeeter and if I got enough room I make the turn, if I dont, I have to back up... <br /><br />Good luck with the figuring!
