Hi guys, I am happy to say that I recently just purchased my first ever bass boat. I've been a non-boater on friends and members of the bass club for 7 years now and have tried to learn as much as I could before I made my first purchase. I recently bought a 1987 Ebbtite DYNA-TRAK 195 with a 200HP Johnson engine. Because I have to fix/replace the water pumps of the live wells as well as aerators I was wondering if anyone knew where I might find a users manual also to familiarize myself more with the boat.

Any help would be much appreciated...

Welcome aboard. Most boats if not all do not come with a manual like you would get with a car. You can get a manual for the motor but that is really it. I just purchased a brand new boat off the show room floor and no manual for the boat. just the motor and out drive and it was generic at that, covered all setups for the motor.

If you search under the term "livewell pump" or similar, you are likely to find lots of topics that are very similar. If not, you can always post some pictures of your set up and doubtless many helpful members will give you guidance. So even though you probably won't find a manual, you have found something infinitely more useful: iboats!

Welcome! :welcome:

The boat specific manuals are mostly safety stuff and pretty much generic. It would not help with working the boat functions.

Never had a live well in any boats but is not the live well made by a different company than the boat. I thought that is why there is no real manual for the boat as the radio is one manufacturer, the gauges are some one else, the trailer is not part of the set up. The motor in my boat is GM and the outdrive is merc and the hull is stingray. The warrantee is all separate and up to the respective manufacturer of that product. So having said all that, check the manufacturer of the live well and see if they have a web site?

Sadly boats don't come with manuals I sure wish they did. I would love to be able to buy one for mine, would help with a lot of things. Then again I would also love the blueprints for it too.

Wow I sure appreciate all the comments. Feels good to be on board and talk boats. I think what I will have to do is take a look at my problem and start tracing it slowly from switch to wire to pump and any fuses that may be involved. For now however I will need to learn how to launch the boat properly, navigate a 200HP engine and taking it out of the water safely.
