Re: Boat Value

That sure describes a basket-case! I doubt I would tackle one THAT far FUBAR'ed, but if those engines were in great shape,or cheaply repairable, they would be worth a great deal. If so, and the price was right,I'd buy it for the power, and then find a nice Grady White or Contender hull to mount them on...But it would have to be priced right and by that, I take into account,I'll have a massive hull to dispose of. And you just can't haul one of these to the local landfill.
Actually,it's a shame too.I dunno about your refuse handlers, but the one in our county generates electricity by burnin garbage...That puppy would put out some B.T.U's, I'll bet...
But they won't (done asked them,as I came across a "deal').
My advise, steer-clear.It isn't worth the hastle.
If you are trying to sell it,strip it.I mean, all brightwerk, engines, fixtures, anything of value, and postum on ebay...But you are still stuck with hull disposal.
If it is just a dry puncture, you might be able to patch her,but you might want to pay the bucks for a professional survey, even before considering this option.
(JMHO)
Got any photos of her?

Re: Boat Value

Hi, Bunny. Welcome to the board.

You describe a hobbyists boat. If you want to spend a couple of years and more money than the finished boat will be worth just for the pleasure of restoring it, go ahead.

If you want to go boating, pass and go looking for something ready for the water.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

Re: Boat Value

I need the value of the boat, my Dad passed away and I need to find some kind of value to the boat. It is up on a lift, and hasn't been in the water for about 3 years, I want to keep the boat for sentimental reasons and to still use for sleeping, etc. I need to list the value for the estate. I tried NADA but they don't list Marinettes, unless its listed under something else. Any HELP?
Bunny

Bunny, try looking in NADA under alum. cruisers for Marinette values.
