Looking to start waxing my boat to get her ready for the water. I have seen both cleaners and wax...and then products that are both cleaner/wax combined. Is there one better than the other? I was looking at Meguiars M6132. Hull itself is in decent shape...not super dull, but she does spend her days during the season in a saltwater slip. The blue stickers on it are a bit dull, but hull still has a bit of a shine to it.

Thanks!!!!

You will find no better protection than Collinite 885 Paste Wax. The only wax I've found that last the entire season.

Apply the first coat, wait 2 weeks then apply a second coat. Use nothing but water and a deck brush to "wash" the boat after that.

Woody Wax works wonders on non-skid floors. Really easy to apply and makes cleanup a snap

Generally, clean then wax. How much "cleaning" is done, depends what condition it's in, and how shiny you want it vs how much work you want to do make it look clean and shiny. If not too dull and dirty, the new cleaner waxes are pretty good., although any product combining steps present a compromise in itself. Some pics, far away, closer, close-up, would help you get more specific help.

+1 on the Collinite wax - have used their Fleet Wax last couple years (after a low-abrasion cleaner to remove light oxidization)

This is one of those "whats the best engine oil" things lol, everyone has their own opinion... All the companies have their own formula with pixie dust and unobtanium, but stick with the name brands and take care of your boat, and just about all of them will work.
