Heya,
I bought an 88 Sunrunner 350cu,21 foot fibreglass cuddy,I/O and am considering a new boat lift since a cable let go today on the boatlift.I installed new stainless cables last year.Have to pull the lift outa water to get a good look.I'd be suprised if a 1/4" stainless cable snapped.Could be a clamp.
I'm wondering how i could estimate or find out the boats weight so i can match it up with a new lift.I'm thinking the lift i have now is under rated for this boat and getting tired.

Any help on an estimated weight would be appreciated. :)

Re: Boat Weight

easiest way we have found is to put your garbage into the boat, take to the dump, weights you in weights you out, minus trailer (should have empty gvw on sticker) and tongue weight.
and your garbage is gone for the week-bonus

Re: Boat Weight

Always buy an oversized lift, as you never know what the future may hold. You might buy yourself a new boat or trade in for a larger one. This will help save you time and money.

Here is a list of dealers that can be searched for more information on boat lifts. There is a ton of stuff out there, but do your homework and you won't be sorry.
