I have a 08 Tahoe Q4 ib. I live in Fort Worth TX and I don't know If I should winterize my boat. I keep it in the garage. How much of the winterizing do I need to do. I never lived in a state where I needed to do this. What do you think I should do?

I think the very least you should do is to ad stable to the fuel & fog the engine just to keep out moisture and corrosion from the engine. Just my two cents worth.

Re: boat winterizing

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it never gets cold enough to warrant "winterizing". If I know its going to be sitting for more than two months, I do add Sta-Bil to my fuel and put my boat & trailer on blocks to prevent the tires from getting a flat spot. I also wrap my lower end with a thermal blanket.

If you do decide to winterize there are three blue ,plastic drain plugs to pull,1 under each exhaust manifold and 1 close to the fuel filter, where the fuel line runs from the tank to the motor, remove and drain, replace plugs or put where you can find .
