boat wont move but prop is spinning

went out fishing today ,and its the first time we had 3 people on the boat ,its a 14 foot starcraft with a 15hp johnson engine (15r75c) , we were going to our location felt like we were losing speed ,like if you just ran through some sea weed or something,the prop is spinning but if you open the throttle the engine just revs up and boat goes nowhere,but if your just over idle it will move the boat very slow,goes into reverse and no abnormal noises ,im lost on this one and ready to give up ,please help

Spun hub on the prop. To check, draw a line across hub and prop with waterproof marker and take her back out. Rev her up and see if line still lines up.

thanks for the info ,took the prop off and thats what it was guess i need a new prop now ,it needed to be replaced anyways ,is this a common problem ? does it happen when there is to much weight in the boat or just something that happenes with age of the prop .

Don't know what year your motor is, but usually just age causes the problem, unless you hit something. Props can be re-hubbed - I just had one done for about $35.
