Great link!

Too bad we can't get mandatory license requirements for Jet Fleas...maybe at least a course in common courtesy?

Good stuff. I passed the prelim too, but a couple of those I got wrong kinda tick me off.

As an example there was one about if the wind was blowing away from a dock and you were preparing to leave. I checked the Untie all lines option. It wanted untie all, push off and put the boat in forward. How do I know if there is anything in front of me in that example? Why do I push off if the wind is taking care of it?

Still very good and free!!

Thanks for the link. I got a 92 on the test, some of that 'sea and anchor' detail in the Navy came in handy. Im an inland freshwater boater, so I had to dig deep. :)

Tidget I was on sea and anchor detail too... USS Tarawa... I guess I should have paid more attention to markers and such but figured since I wasnt doing anything more than heaving and manning the capstans I didnt figure it was important :D

Glad yall like it... even if you think you know all there is to know, you might be surprised at what you dont know. :)

I am a boater ed instructor for Nebraska. Here any boater under 16 must take the course to drive, anyone under 18 driving a jet ski must take the course.

The practice test I took had a question about how old a person must be to rent a PWC.

I think the options were 12,14,15,16. As I understand, a rental agreement is actually a contract and can't be entered into by a minor.

Any lawyers out here?

BTW, 88 without reading the book.

Have to have a licence in Ontario Canada ,test is by Canadian Coast Guard some restrictions for the age allowed to drive certain HP's,certain size boats need different equippment. All need floating fashlight, floating rope, noise maker[whistle],personal floatation devise[lifejacket] for all people in boat and have to wear it,some depending on size need anchors, flares, fire extingusters and don't forget your bloody licence
Fun boating just seems to have being taxed, get ready coming your way soon!!!!! Great PO- licks think alike
