Re: boating courses

Your local Coast Guard Auxilliary sponsors safe boating courses throughout the year. Need to find the nearest one to you and get their schedule. The cost is minimal - books, charts, etc. - You will enjoy it and your insurance company will usually give you a break on your rates for completing the course. Everyone who operates a boat should take one. :D

Re: boating courses

If I can remember correctly for me it was at my local Department of Environmental Protection. They had all the information.

Re: boating courses

I took a boating safety course online three years ago, passed it, and obtained a boating safety certificate which entitled me to 5% off my boat insurance. I think it cost me about $20.00. Here's the link: http://www.boatingbasicsonline.com
