Good Day!
So Im the proud new owner of an Alumacraft T-S14!
and I am DYING waiting to get it on the water! A couple of more days until MN OPENER!
I live in the Twin Cities area and have a question about boating on the Minnesota River in or near downtown Saint Paul:
1. I currently have a 5.5HP Johnson motor, is this adequate enough to get 2 adults and a little squirt (32 pd 2 year old) around on the river?
2. Are there any special regulations on boating on rivers that differ from lakes?
3. Are there any special regulations on boating on the river near a large metropolitan area (ie: Saint Paul)?
4. You guys got any tips on what to do, not to do on the river that would differ than your typical lake??
I just want to be a "smart" boater when Im out there and I would like to use the river for boating and fishing, I live about 10 minutes away, so a quick trip to the river is a likely destination.
GLAD TO BE A BOAT OWNER!
