Found out that 5 1/2 inches of snow with rain ice topping didn't tear up mooring cover . Just need a winter supporting pole that's not adjustable as it reached its load . Plastic lawn leaf rake works good for shoveling off of . Window weights kept tarp tight even with rope around and high winds , heck going to clean out old horse stalls so next time I crawl into boat this time off year I'll have a beer sitting in boat reminiscing on how I used to put the Boat Up For Winter .

Re: Boats are constant learning Devices .

I have been going out and clearing off my cover after every snow/ice storm this winter but it sure is getting old. I have a 40 foot garage but my 43 foot fifth wheel is in there, well almost, three feet is sticking out. I am going to build a new one for the camper and then will have one big enough for my boat and most of my truck. I am really tired of the snow and ice.
