Does anyone like one of these boats more than the other. Pros and cons?

I want a 18-19 footer with a 8 ft beam and these seem to be the most comon boats around here with those requirements. No older than 2000

Also, What do yu prefer Volvo or Mercruiser?

thanks, again

I absolutely love my Chaparral. I would highly recommend you learn more about this brand. As always with a used boat, the brand is important but you want to take into consideration first and foremost the condition of the boat and the care given by the other owner(s). Don't buy a beat up boat just because it has a certain name on the side. Wait for the right brand you have decided on that has been babied. I have been very happy with my Volvo - nuff said.

Any of those brands would be a great boat. More importantly, which ever one seems to have been best maintained and cared for would be the tie-breaker between those brands.

Personally, I own a Four Winns, but if I were in the market for a new boat, I would not hesitate to buy any of those 3 brands if it was a well maintained boat.

As for the engines, the same rule applies. Which ever seems to be best maintained would be a great choice. Again, I own a Volvo-Penta and I'm very happy with it. However, I have noticed that it seems like parts are easier to find for the Mercruiser brand. Maybe it's just me, or the local shops around my house, but they never seem to have the Volvo parts in stock.

I'm a Chaparral fan myself, but all 3 brands you mention are good boats.
