Bodensee Parts

What is Bondensee? I trying to buy an exhaust riser for 1987 5.7L and in some listings I am seeing the part but in the description in brackets the word (Bondensee). Is this some initiative for Bodensee Emissions?

Yes. The Bodensee-Schiffahrts-Ordnung (BSO) emission regulation is one of the earliest exhaust emission regulations. The Stage 2 of this regulation was introduced in 1996 and applies to vessels on the lake Bodensee (lake Constance) which is on the boarder of Germany and Switzerland.
