I have a 87 15 HP Johnson tiller. Sunday it started running a little rougher on the way to fishing hole but revved up good and strong. When moving from fishing hole, it started to bog when given heavy throttle. It would run ok (still rougher than normal) at idle plus a little but as soon as you wanted to go, Blahhh.. then die if you didn't back off quick.
We took it home and tried it on the hose, same deal when throttle was opened quickly. Gas line was wet, the clamps (zip tie) were seeping so I replaced hose and used clamps. Still same deal. Replaced Fuel Pump and now it idles like glass but still bogs under heavy throttle.
Im thinking to start with ignition parts. Any thoughts or suggestions?

progress, anyway! I would assume it's a carb issue and clean it (install a rebuild kit) -- if it hadn't been serviced in a while.

Run a compression check, and test/measure spark.
