Hello guys I have a 1993 Evinrude 15hp rope start. I’m gonna put an electric start on this motor. Evinrude part# 0338751. This bolt is 11.99. Does anyone know thread pitch and length? Gonna try to go to local hardware store. Thx

Gee, American bolts are usually standard USS (fine) or SAE (course) thread. If you know the diameter, there are standard TPI for each bolt.

i.e. SAE thread 1/4" bolt is 20 TPI. 5/16" bolt is 18 TPI.

You might try to find out the grade of the bolt. A starter mount may require a stronger bolt like grade 5.

Ok guys, in the description it says screw not bolt, but I would think it would be machine threads? This is the screw that mounts the solenoid to the motor. Thx

Screw and bolt are often used interchangeably. Machine threads can mean fine or course, but not tapered threads like threaded pipe.

Sometimes the parts list will give a bolt size, and sometimes bolt length. You can measure the depth of the threaded hole and usually see whether the threads are course or fine. This will give a reasonable guess as to the bolt length. You can also try short bolts in the threaded hole to match the bolt size and threads.
